The AHA/HRET HEN held a 3-day virtual collaborative program on June 18-20. National subject matter experts as well as several hospitals achieving sustained improvements presented. Topics included: patient & family engagement, surgical site infections, hospital-acquired infections, fall prevention, venous thromboembolism, reducing readmissions, and adverse drug events. Ja Ellen Hickman from Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO presented on working on all 11 initiatives and making rapid progress. Over 600 participants within the AHA/HRET HEN tuned in, with several from Missouri.
